Crystal makes intentions clear

Crsytal Lake (Verglas) kicked off our 2014 season in the best possible way when running out the convincing winner of the seven furlong maiden at Kempton today. A £20,000 yearling purchase, from Hillwood Stud, at Doncaster in August 2012, Crystal Lake is trained by Ralph Beckett for The Pickford Hill Partnership. Congratulations to all connections.
EYECATCHER:
At Doncaster, Cape Caster (Cape Cross) shaped like a three year old with a real future when running second to the highly touted Hymenaois (Danehill Dancer). Third on debut, his only start at two, Cape Caster will hopefully have a productive 2014. The son of Cape Cross was a 27,000 GNS purchase from the Tattersalls Guineas Breeze Up Sale. He, like Crystal Lake, was consigned by Charlie and Tracey Vigors Hillwood Stud.
