Mizzou doubles up

Having run out a seven length winner of a 1m4f soft-ground maiden at Pontefract three weeks earlier, McCalmont Bloodstock purchase, Mizzou (Galileo), made his handicap debut a winning one at Doncaster this evening.
The strong stayer pulled off what had seemed an unlikely win as he and partner Andrea Atzeni entered the final furlong, but managed to have his head down where it mattered most. His dam, Moments Of Joy, was a 1m6f Listed winner and there is almost certainly more to come, with the Melrose Stakes at York a likely target. He is in the right hands as Team Cumani excel with this type of animal and Jon and Sarah Kelly look to have a most progressive horse to go to war with.
